Protection by Jennifer Jones

THE LORD IS A SHIELD FOR HIS PEOPLE "PROTECTION"

"O,Lord, You are a shield about me, you bestow glory on me and lift my head" Psalm 3:3 "Contend O Lord, fight, take up Your Shield and buckler, Arise come to my aid. Brandish spear and javalin..."(Psalm 35:1-3) "The Lord will march out like a mighty man like a warrior. He will stir up His zeal; with a shout He will raise the battle cry and WILL TRIUMPH OVER HIS ENEMIES!" Isaiah 42:13 "The Lord, He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. O Lord, what is man that You care for him the son of man that You think of him?" Psalm 144:2-3 "The Lord is a sun and a shield...." Psalm 84:11 On the Shield you'll see an emblem of the Lion of Judah with a double edged sword coming out of His mouth, Revelation 1:16, describes Jesus like this, "In His right hand He held the seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp double edged sword." Below the Lion is an inscription in Hebrews that says, "the Lord will battle for them". As you look into this painting you'll discover many elements of the spiritual battle raging around us. Ephesians 6:12 says, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." At the top you'll find a shining sword cutting through flames. In the midst of the flames you will see the battle and what the Lord is using His shield and sword against. You'll see the importance of our picking up the sword and shield of Gods Word and of Faith that Paul writes about in Ephesians 6:13-17 The Lord tells us that He will train our hands to battle, Psalm 144:1. We need to be willing to learn. There is a bowl with oil pouring out from beneath a cloud that is dripping. In the top of the bowl of oil is a tree of abundant life. The oil that flows around it is filled with iridescent colors that stream down over the edge of the bowl on to the shield. "prays pouring forth." The dripping of the oil begins to resemble the tassels of a prayer shawl as they hang over the edge. The Lord is our PROTECTOR and the One who TRAINS OUR HANDS for war. As we seek His face in prayer He will give us guidance in the battle.

FREEDOM

FREEDOM by Sara Davis

The main direction the Lord gave me was that freedom is a banner, freedom is a treasure, freedom is not just the absence of bondage. Freedom is an overcoming spirit and glory fire. The way to freedom is only through Christ. Freedom is THE FREEDOM that comes from the wounds of his hands and the fire of refining. Freedom is not just the open door to the guilded bird cage it is the flying out!"

Provision

Provision Painting by Jennifer Jones

What is Gods provision and what does that look like?

That was the question upon my heart as I sought the Lords heart for this piece. Soon after I began this seeking process “I thought” I had exactly what provision should “look”like. It had specific dimensions and colors lots of scriptural meaning. It had it all, I thought. When I sat down to begin to paint all I could paint was the background. I felt the Lord stop me and I really did not know why. I simply knew I couldn’t paint any more without taking time to sit with the Lord and seek His heart. It seemed that the “plan” had changed. That week we were discussing the names of God in our groups. As we shared that night Moses and Abrahams experiences with the Lord were highlighted to me. I began to sense that what those two men experienced was the picture of provision that I was to paint. The Lord revealing His name, His character in that burning bush that didn’t burn up in the fire. The ram caught in the bush when Abraham was ready to sacrifice his own son. I began to paint. Flames of glory began to blaze around the green leaves of this bush. As I painted the image of a dove began to become apparent above the bush and I began to pull it out with definition and in the background I could see a horn shape and recognized it as a horn of plenty. On the edges of the window as you peer into this piece there is a long “drip” of a rich red paint going down the outline of the window representing the ultimate provision for our sins, Christ’s blood. Provision doesn’t always look like we “think” it is suppose to look like, but God is always faithful He will provide if we will seek.

Surrender , by Ethan

"SURRENDER"
As I began the painting The Lord showed me a new picture of "surrender". He revealed that surrender is a purposeful act of positioning our hearts in a place of sacrifice before Him. That to truly surrender to Him we must deny our flesh, set our hearts toward heaven, and "SURRENDER" our will to the One who has called us "Beloved".
In the painting the clouds represent different seasons of our lives and the aroma of our offering. The tatoo of the Star of David on his heart says, "I am me beloveds and He is mine!". The water on him is the dew of Heaven that forms on us as we join with Gods heart.

Declaration, by Beverly Gibson

Declaration

As I began to ask the Lord what He wanted on this painting, He led me to Psalm 68:11, “The Lord announced the word, and great was the company of those who proclaimed it:”. NIV

Announcing, proclaiming, and declaration have almost the same meaning. When the Lord announced His WORD, and then we proclaim or DECLARE it, we come into agreement with the Creator of all things - GOD. Something supernatural, something powerful and something great begins to take place.

His Word, the Bible, is His
declaration to us - of His glory, of His heart, of His very character and nature. Let us become a part of the great company of those who proclaim it….to the lost, the sick, the hopeless, the broken hearted. And see His glory break into situations and lives … supernaturally, powerfully and wonderfully redeeming the impossible.

Psalm 19:1, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”

ADORATION, by Jodi King

"ADORATION'

As I started asking the Lord about Adoration all that came to my mind was the color pink. I thought, God, that’s not funny. That’s not much to start from for a novice painter like me. But as I began to paint, people worshiping our Lord started to emerge and then hands started to emerge. From one hand sits a bowl from which we offer our praises. We lift our hands high in adoration to you Lord. Upon completion of the painting I discovered that the color pink means joy and happiness. It was also pointed out to me that unknowingly I had painted the word Abba in the top left corner. What a joy it is to adore your Abba, our Father.

Family, Sonship, by Jennifer Jones

Family, Sonship Painting,

“In My Fathers house are many, many rooms.”

“He has a big, Big house.”

“I am a child of God.”

“Nothing can separate me from the Love of God.”

“ Just as God loves His Son and His Son loves His Father that is how I am loved.”

These phrases ran through my heart as I painted this piece.

As I prayed and soaked I asked the Lord about the issue of being in His family. A vision of a family reunion came to my heart and being called into that family sitting on the porch of a big old house. As I looked into that blurry vision I saw arms wrapped around one another, hands on shoulders, and faces cheek to cheek for the photo.

I was asking the Lord, how do I paint being called into Your house? And the thought of a shofar, light, and a “way” came to me. A picture of being called through a doorway covered by the blood of the lamb onto that porch of my Fathers BIG, BIG house!

I pray that as you peer into this piece that you are able to HEAR and SEE that same call to “COME SIT ON THE PORCH OF MY BIG, BIG HOUSE” “YOU ARE MY CHILD, A PART OF MY FAMILY”
